About

Dr. Mario Marsilio, DC

Mario Marsilio began his formal education at Kent State University in Ohio and finished up with his doctorate in chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri. He graduated in 1982 and has been a licensed practitioner in Florida since 1983. Mario also has a degree in physical therapy and has completed training in cold laser therapy.

Originally, Mario is from Ashtabula, Ohio. The city holds a place in history for having had several stops of the Underground Railroad there, used to help African-American slaves find freedom in Canada. Mario grew up in Ashtabula working with his father in the family business, doing construction and carpentry work.

The family is originally from a region of south central Italy named Abruzzo, also known as Abruzzi, which is about 50 miles east of Rome. It is bordered on the east by the Adriatic Sea and is one of the most mountainous regions of Italy, boasting 21 ski areas. Abuzzi is a picturesque area with many castles and medieval towns that seemed to have been frozen in time. Mario enjoys trips back to Abruzzo and taking photos.

Photography is one of Mario’s favorite hobbies. Although he has some scenic shots of Abruzzo, his main focus is on wildlife photography. An avid bow hunter and fisherman, Mario enjoys nature and capturing wildlife with his 35mm camera. One of his goals in life is to go bear hunting with a bow in Canada.

Something you may not know about Mario is that he’s a huge Cleveland Browns fan and that some day he’d like to run for the Senate.

Some thing that Mario’s patients already know is that Mario is different from most chiropractors in that he really takes his time with his patients.
